As with every piece from Black Raven Armours, the Inga isn’t just aesthetically pleasing; it’s a protective shield. Crafted from layered leathers and boasting a fitted, contoured shape, it hugs the body while effectively dulling blows. And let me reassure you, these armours aren’t just for show – they’re designed to instill a sense of combat readiness in those who wear them.

The Inga Body Armour, perfect for any shield maiden of war, is one of our most practical designs. It’s a full-length body armour that comfortably fits bust sizes ranging from 36 to 40 inches & 40 to 44 inches. But the Inga is more than just about function – it’s a testament to the artistry of armour-making.

Each piece of this armour has been meticulously handcrafted. The process involves careful cutting, embossing, stitching, riveting, dyeing, and antiquing. The result? A stunningly antiqued piece adorned with detailed edge embossing and complemented by embossed panelling.

But what truly sets the Inga apart is its durability. With extensive edge binding added to all potentially vulnerable areas, it ranks among our toughest armours ever.

LARP Armours : All of our LARP Armours are a minimum of 3.2 to  mm - 1/8 to 9/64 Inch - 8 to 10 oz Thickness, this is perfect for LARP and Cosplay events where any "combat" that occurs is non lethal and typically involves rubber covered foam weapons with plastic, or fiberglass cores. SCA Armours : All of our SCA armours are laminated to a minimum 6.5 mm- 1/4 Inch - 16 oz Thickness, many also have a degree of water hardening, this combination of hardened laminated leather is ideally suited to SCA and HEMA combat
