All of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you, for one of the following reasons:

  • You have made an enquiry with us.

    You have asked us for additional information,  for a quote on a custom order, or you have submitted a GDPR request. We only take & store your name & email address, this is stored in our email system for 1 year

  • You have placed an order with us.

    When you place an order with us we take your name, address & phone number as well as your email, you may optionally give us a separate delivery address if you are not able to be home for the delivery, this information will be given to our couriers when your items are ready to ship, all order information is stored for 6 years after the financial year they are placed in.

  • You have made a complaint against us

    When you make a complaint against us. We only take & store your name & email address, this is stored in our system for up to 3 years after the complaint is resolved

Under data protection law, you have rights we need to make you aware of. The rights available to you depend on our reason for processing your information.

    • Your right of access

      You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. This right always applies. There are some exemptions, which means you may not always receive all the information we process. You can read more about this right here.

      You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. This right always applies. You can read more about this right here.

        You have the right to object to processing if we are able to process your information because the process forms part of our public tasks, or is in our legitimate interests. You can read more about this right here. 

     

    • Your right to data portability

      This only applies to information you have given us. You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us from one organisation to another, or give it to you. The right only applies if we are processing information based on your consent or under, or in talks about entering into a contract and the processing is automated. You can read more about this right here.

      You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. We have one month to respond to you.

We will never share your information with any third parties for the purposes of direct marketing.

We use data processors who are third parties who provide elements of services for us, for our webhost and our couriers. We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct.

We also use data controllers who are third parties who provide elements of services for us. Currently these include Paypal & Stripe

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
